Arts Council England have now published the full list of recipients for phase 1 of the Culture Recovery Fund With further announcements expected in the coming weeks, the news offers much needed hope to a sector which has been decimated by Covid-19 and the resulting lockdowns which followed.
With the government announcing further restrictions, including the introduction of a new three-tier system of local lockdowns and many urban areas seeing a rise in cases, the news of financial support for theatres and arts organisations couldn’t come soon enough, though many West End theatres are still awaiting news of how much support they will receive under the scheme.
