ACT FOUR: SHAKESPEARE’S LONDON
Meeting at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square, soon we’ll be stepping back through a thousand years of history into the London of William Shakespeare. Crossing some of London’s prettiest bridges, we’ll follow the paths of London’s ancient river Thames as old meets new – from the monumental National Theatre to the stunning setting of Somerset House. See some of London’s most sacred places, including Temple Church, home to the Knights Templar since 1185 then traverse the Inns of Court, before descending riverside once more as we approach London’s Millenium Bridge with stunning views of St Paul’s Cathedral and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Entering Southwark, we’ll pass The Clink, home to some of London’s most notorious criminals and Sir Francis Drake’s Golden Hind before ending our tour in the pretty Borough Market & Cathedral area near London Bridge Station. Your tour includes a Thames Clippers ticket which allows a return journey on the river plus unlimited further river travel that day.
Schedule: From April – October, this tour runs every Wednesday at 11am.

Please note: This guided walking tour includes several flights of stairs so is not suitable for those with young children, those using a wheelchair or those with limited mobility, however we can offer a bespoke adapted tour by prior arrangement. Tours do not go inside theatres although our guides can offer information on how to book backstage tours.
